Ft. Myers Volvo S60 Dealer Says 2011 Model Is Impressive

Volvo has always been a favorite of mine when it comes to car manufacturers. While the automaker hasn’t done anything too outlandish in the last couple of years, the reliability of their cars is always something they can hang their hats on. It’s been a year since Volvo had a midsize offering on the market, and that year is about to come to an end with the coming launch of the Volvo S60, a well-constructed sedan with a design that is recognizably Volvo but pushes the limits in a few different areas. For Ft. Myers Volvo S60 dealers, it will be an impressive year once these sweet sedans hit the market.

Sporty performance is one of the S60’s features that the media is buzzing about. The other, perhaps more utilitarian, feature garnering some interest is the high safety rating the car is expected to achieve due to new and excited additional components. Ft. Myers Volvo S60 drivers will be able to take comfort in the exciting new safety of their vehicle. Based on the S60 concept (released earlier this year for the viewing public), this new car will tone down some of its conceptual kin’s design features for an all-around more tasteful and eye-catching look. From what little I know about the car, I’m pretty confident the S60 will be a hot seller at Ft. Myers used S80 dealers for years to come.

The safety technology that will accompany the launch of the S60 will help push drivers into the next generation of the automotive market. Pedestrian-recognizing technology detects when a collision with a pedestrian is imminent, flipping on the car’s brakes before the impact can occur. It’s true that we will probably have less of an application for the technology here in the U.S., but Europeans will love the option with such crowded streets and sidewalks. But the safety feature is just one more added measure to put your mind at ease when you visit Ft. Myers Volvo S60 dealerships in the coming year.

Volvo was smart in extending the new S60 package to cover two different types of drivers. Suspension packages feature either comfort- or sport-oriented features – a factor that Volvo representatives say will make it the line’s most engaging product on the market. Ft. Myers used S80 dealers are crossing their fingers for a strong inception and the chance to feature the vehicle in their showrooms in the near future. The two different paths extend the appeal of the S80 to include more than one demographic, a move that is sure to payoff for Volvo.

While we don’t know much about the American model’s powertrain options, we do know that the high-end version will feature a turbocharged inline six-cylinder that puts out 304 horsepower with the help of a six-speed automatic transmission. This kind of mid-range engine should be enough to make the S60 a hot-selling item at Ft. Myers used S80 dealers in the coming years. I don’t if I’ve convinced you of the awesomeness of the S80 or not, but you can sure bet I’ll be giving it a test-drive.
