Lexus Dealers in Warren May Soon Offer Cars Integrated with the Airbelt

The all new Lexus LFA has arrived with a seductive design that is sure to appeal to any driver and enough power to please any sport car enthusiast. Development of the two-seater roadster began in 2000 when Lexus set a goal of manufacturing a supreme supercar that achieved an unprecedented level of pure bliss. Over a decade later, the LFA has met that goal and promises to deliver the ultimate driving experience.

The aerodynamic exterior of the LFA uses extensive carbon fiber construction for the chassis and bodywork to help keep the car’s weight at an absolute minimum. The low-slung car has a clean, sporty appearance with features including a speed-sensitive rear spoiler, LED taillights, 20-inch aluminum 10-spoke wheels and bixenon headlights. Inside the LFA the sport car motif continues with custom-tailored trim, a state-of-the-art instrument panel and sculpted carbon materials used throughout.

The LFA is powered by a bespoke 4.8-liter V10 engine which boasts exceptional power and is capable of delivering 553 horsepower. The engine is paired to a rear-mounted six-speed sequential automatic transmission which enables to LFA to reach speeds in excess of 200 mph. Meticulous aerodynamics, light weight body and high-revving engine allow the supercar to accelerate from 0 mph to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

With so much power drivers had better be sure to buckle their seat ‘Airbelt’. The inflatable seat belt technology was developed to protect drivers and front seat passengers in the event of a collision. The Airbelt contains a mini airbag inside its webbing which inflates upon impact. The new car dealer Warren residents visit may soon offer the technology on other models but details have not yet been confirmed. While all LFAs will offer Airbelts, not all Lexus dealers in Warren will offer LFAs as only 500 units are expected to be produced.
